ORS were sub-contracted to take delivery and install Steelcase furniture on various projects ranging over the period 2013 -2015.
Our installation team worked on a number of varied installations, in particular 2 large installations involving the extraction of up to 80 existing desks followed by the installation of the new Steelcase desks over a weekend period to avoid disruption to staff and business.
Delivery of two of the shipments was a challenge given their size and access to the client site. With the kind permission of the IOM Department of Infrastructure we were able to marshal the 40ft container in to the small lane at John Street adjacent to HSBC House on Ridgeway Street. Health and Safety, access to the lane by emergency services and disruption to the public and nearby businesses were all taken in to account when planning the deliveries. On each occasion, the unloading of the vehicles and delivery of contents in to HSBC House was turned around efficiently and safely within 90 minutes, with no damage / injury or detriment to anyone.
